i tried to post a photo that dad had emailed me. it was from 1999 but i thought it would work until i got something more recent. after a few tries to get it on my profile, i gave up. what the hell am i doing wrong with this thing? it cannot be as hard as i'm making it.
so if anyone is really desperate to see photos of me (or at least just slightly inclined, that will work, too) she (or he?) should tell me how because i think i missed that day of class.

Scoupe. Easiest way (I think) - put the picture on an actual post, save the post as a draft (so it doesn't show up on screen), copy picture's url from draft into that space in your profile where it goes. Wala. (Wahlah? Walah? Not a very effective word in print.)

Splitting of infinitives (and breaking of other grammar rules) is fine, in my opinion, as long as you're aware you are doing it. I feel very strongly about that.
Way to work the language, Jenna. And way to not think you have to know French to be educated. (I won't tell anyone I took a Maymester of it in grad school. ...Who can learn a language in a mere Maymester, I ask you??)

by the way, can you please explain to me how to use the word "entonces"? it's drivin' me batty, trying to get it out of my cooks. but then, i've had more formal education in spanish grammar than probably all of them put together. so, i guess i can't get too mad @ 'em.

but anyway, i must've forgotten to mention my own claim to trilingualism, which still does not include french. yes, yes, your little sister also speaks brazilian portuguese.
the word "entonces" is one of my favorites too. it means "then", but is also pretty frequently used as "so". For example:
Si vamos al supermercado el sábado, entonces podemos comprar vino. (if-then statement)
or
Fuimos al parque, entonces fuimos a la iglesia. ("then" in a sequence of events)
in the second case, you could also use "luego" to mean then.
or
-Asisto a la Universidad de Georgia.
-Entonces, serás un fanático de los Bulldogs?
(-I go to UGA. -So you must be a fan of the Bulldogs?)
and finally, "desde entonces" means "since then"...
i'll let you know if i think of anything else!
thus making 'entonces' very much like the french 'alors' which can mean both 'then' or 'well' or maybe more appropriately as 'well then'. or as part of cursing.
ex.1) tu ne viens pas avec moi? alors, je vais seul.
ex.2) zut alors!
yeah, it is similar. there is also the word "pues" which can be a filler word like "well", or can be used like "then"

yep, that's what they mean...like "so?" in some places, pues is used to mean the same thing.
¿sí, pues? is like "yeah, so?"
