evolution and such

so there's this new museum opening up soon near cincinatti, i think. it's a museum of history through a 'biblical' perspective. the tours are going to show how man and dinosaurs lived together after the flood because noah took baby dinos on the ark and how tyrannosaurus rex was originally a gentle herbivore living in the garden of eden. true story here. it's in the front section of monday's atlanta journal/constitution - page A5, i think.

secrets

so here it is, scøüpe's secret to a happy reltionship. it's something i took from the prologue to the great gatsby by f. scott fitzgerald. my copies are packed up already so the wording may be slightly off.

"then wear the gold hat
if that will move her
and if you can bounce,
bounce high for her too.
till she cry 'high-bouncing, gold-hatted lover,
i must have you!"

actually, fitzgerald was quoting someone from thomas d'invilliers, i think. either way the point is the same.

scøüpe's first blog

yeah, this is exactly what the title infers. seeing as this is the first entry, i guess the name should be addressed. 'lazy day café' is the name of a local beachside coffee shop in a story i'm working on. i like the alliteration of vowels in the name but it also refers to a enigmatic place outside the life of the toil and trouble of which we are all looking to escape. even if that escape is only long enough for a cup of coffee and a raspberry scone before diving head-first back into the turmoil of life. or, as it is for me today, long enough to add an entry to my newly created site before heading from one job to the next. life can get one down when it seems work is all you have time for; 'lazy day café' is my ideal entrepenuristic venture - a place to relax and forget about all your worries, even if it's only for five minutes.
