so maybe this is a function of living in an indie-addicted town like athens, but i think amelie, chocolat and trainspotting are pretty popular aren't they?
either way, you've got good taste. i love amèlie & chocolat...you may have noticed them on my profile under favorite movies.... :)
yeah, their the 'known unknowns'. but still so many people have never seen or even heard of them.
oh and there's a film festival this month in athens, i think. i read an article about it.
I have seen only one of those! What does that mean about me? Perhaps I am not so cool or eclectic as I pretend (um, yeah, I don't really pretend that). Or perhaps I need to seriously raid Scoupe's movie collection.
i hope the one you've seen is chocolat...that movie is fantastic. so many chocolate cameos...mmmm....
young becca, you have so much to learn about avid movie-watching. you've never seen anything i've recommended. but yes, definitely see "chocolat" - and you should also watch "the man who cried" with johnny depp, john tuturro and christina ricci. very bohemian.
Chocolat is the one I have seen, actually. Phew. Will investigate The Man Who Cried. (Will actually take any chance to investigate anything with Johnny Depp in it, which I think we already knew from a previous post.)
i heard johnny depp's gay. no, really. he is. sorry, becca, but good fer you, scoupe!
They say that about everyone in Hollywood - I've stopped listening. And isn't he married with 2 kids in France or something? ... Jeez. Now I'll keep wondering. Thanks for spoiling things, deerfoot. Really.
